"I had the opportunity in my role as COO at Retirement Victoria to work with Peter where he led an end-to-end fees for no service review of financial advice for a specific selection of adviser cases. We collaboratively designed the methodology and approach.
Peter constructed the review script and managed a team of RG146 and / or CFP® financial planners to assess these cases which culminated in him presenting an interim and final report to the AFSL leadership, outlining a summary of case assessment outcomes by theme. The report also identified redress due to customers where service could not be evidenced, and a list of compliance recommendations.
Peter's team also subsequently delivered the customer contact activity and managed outcome letters, and payment offers.
Peter illustrated a deep understanding of remediation project operations and financial advice industry compliance requirements. "We used Peter and Oceanic Consulting Group for a 3-6 month piece of consulting work at AIA in 2021. The problem involved understanding and recommending improvements to a complex set of data flows that were causing inconsistencies in customer information.
